The collection is inspired by a CITRUS color palette that includes lime green, lemon yellow, vibrant orange and tomato red. Stitched with fabrics that include organic cottons, silks, and wool, this collection is Franklin Eugene’s take on incorporating citrus inspired colors and prints into a Spring/Summer menswear collection. The clothing is light weight, comfortable, soft, and sun, surf, and sand ready. The collection remains true to Mr. Eugene’s signature style affections - clean lines, strong cuts, and fantastic finish work. Once again, we see Mr. Eugene lean forward and innovate with our first look at what is likely to become a brand fan favorite the FRANKLIN EUGENE TRENCH SHIRT (a range of shirt designs inspired by the trench coat).
VDMA Textile Care, Fabric and Leather Technologies
The manufacturers of sewing and garment technology as well as machines for processing technical textiles look back on a turbulent year in 2018: While the sector reported a substantial increase of 120 percent in cumulative terms between 2009 and 2017, exports in 2018 fell by 16.7 percent from 603 million Euros in 2017 to 502 million Euros in 2018. "The industry is experiencing strong uncertainty among its customers, which has a negative impact on investment behaviour," said Elgar Straub, Managing Director of VDMA Textile Care, Fabric and Leather Technologies (TFL), at the opening press conference of the Texprocess in Frankfurt. "The overbureaucratisation in Germany, such as the Posting of Workers Directive or the DSGVO, the threat of Brexit and the national tendencies in many European countries, but also the situation in Turkey, the trade dispute between the USA and China and the ever more severe trade sanctions set up by the USA - all this is bringing considerable unrest to the markets.

Techtextil and Texprocess 2017: Visitor and exhibitor records
“Although we had extra personnel on our exhibition stand, visitors still had to queue on occasions. For us, the fair was fantastic”, said Dr Jan Zimmermann of Techtextil exhibitor Forster Rohner from Switzerland. Many of the 1,789 exhibitors of Techtextil and Texprocess had similar experiences. Over 47,500 visitors (an increase of around 14 percent, 2015: 41,826) from 114 countries made their way to Frankfurt Fair and Exhibition Centre from 9 to 12 May, to discover the most innovative products in the field of technical textiles and the latest processing technologies.
