VIEW PREMIUM SELECTION Spring/Summer 2021: Sophisticated collections – concentrated information - increasing internationalization
VIEW Premium Selection will open the Spring.Summer 2021 season with an international portfolio showcasing over 400 collections. On December 3rd and 4th 2019, leading fabric, trim and denim suppliers present their preview programs and latest developments in Munich.
The project shown at Munich Fabric Start in the beginning of September started from the vision of Martin Havik, founder of the recycled movement REMO with the support of Michel Walstock. Martin has lived in Prato many years owning a buying office dealing with big brands as G-Star, Hugo Boss and more. He understood many years ago that world resources are finite and soon the textile was in the need to find a more sustainable way to produce if it wants to survive this period of crisis. He pulled together a group of professionals in textile field since many years, starting with a company in Prato Co.mi.stra owned by the Tesi family with a centuries-old culture about recycling wool, the fabric designer Piero Diddi, a specialist in textile innovation - Dalia Benefatto.
At Munich Fabric Start I met the representatives of Supreme Green Cotton. From carefully selected and controlled non GMO cotton seeds, Supreme Green Cotton is cultivated via sustainable practices in family farms in Greece.
The recent MUNICH FABRIC START, held from 3 to 5 September 2019 in Munich, Germany, launched the new Hall 8 and an extended exhibitor portfolio to once again convince the sector of the innovation and information platform. Featuring highly concentrated themes, new exhibition formats and numerous expert-led panel discussions, keynotes and lectures. Now spread over eight halls, for the very first time over 1,000 international suppliers showcased more than 2,000 collections in the Fabrics, Additionals, Denim and Sourcing segments for Autumn/Winter 2020/2021.
Print Logistics is an innovator in textile and direct-to-garment (DTG) printing in Poland. They are able to print on nearly all fabric from cotton to knitwear and everything in between. They also have a micro factory and they can print, cut and sew, offering a full service to many of their clients.
The winners of the 7th HighTex Award have been announced. The international textile and fashion industry kicks off the 2020 Spring.Summer season in Munich. More than 1,000 fabrics, additionals, denim & sportswear suppliers exhibit their latest product and trend developments in 1,800 collections from 29 to 31 January 2019 at the MOC Munich and in the Zenith Area.
Following intense networking and jointly realised projects we bring together what belongs together: MUNICH FABRIC START Exhibitions GmbH now takes a share in New Heritage – the Festival for Timeless Fashion – held once a year in Munich and D?sseldorf since 2017. One of the projects that caught my attention at Munich Fabric Start was the MicroFactory at Keyhouse. Coordinated by the Deutsche Institute fur Textil- und Faserforschung (German Institute for Textile and Fibre Research), MicroFactory at Keyhouse demonstrated for the first time a fully networked and integrated production chain from the design stage through to the finished product. It illustrated the possibility for a swift reaction to market needs already from the first production batch.

Munich Fabric Start presents Autumn/Winter 2018/2019 trends and pushes new trade fair and event formats
Munich Fabric Start kicks off the new trade fair cycle for Autumn/Winter 2018/2019 with even greater impact. In addition to extending existing areas, a new trade fair format MUNICH APPAREL SOURCE will be launched, extending the ranges to include the next step in the value chain.
Intelligent textiles of any kind have to be assembled during the final production step. This means that the individual components have to be combined into a final product (e. g. a piece of clothing) using a joining technology. Here traditionally a sewing machine is used. Usually intelligent textiles (in leisure, sports outdoor, protective clothing) are also technical textiles; in this case assembly by ultrasonic is a modern future-oriented and economical alternative to sewing.
