VIEW PREMIUM SELECTION - Fully booked and back to Dampfdom

Тhe VIEW PREMIUM SELECTION will kick off the season for the latest material developments and colour trends for SPRING-SUMMER 2026 next week. After an extremely successful interim trade show in Munich's city centre at Karlsplatz Stachus in the summer, the exclusive preview format of the renowned MUNICH FABRIC START will now take place again in the Dampfdom at Motorworld Munich. Curated collections at the earliest possible date on 3 and 4 December 2024 – the concept of the VIEW PREMIUM SELECTION is once again confirmed by international suppliers from the FABRICS, ADDITIONALS, DENIMS and SPORTSWEAR segments. The Dampfdom was once again fully booked after a short time.

The trends for SPRING-SUMMER 2026 create an arc of man, nature and technology and result in five contrasting moods: 

HUMAN TECH: People and technology merge. Technical textiles such as micro perforation, breathable membranes, parachute silk, synthetic jersey, lightweight or hi-tech knit meet soft and gentle nuances such as pastel stripes and skin structures in contrast to 3-dimensional prints. 

AGAINST ALGORITHM: In a world increasingly dominated by algorithms, this trend favours the imperfect and the handmade. Lightly washed denim, crumpled checks, poly-cotton, terry jersey, technical cotton and bright knitwear are combined with graffiti, cursive writing, numbers and letters, scribbles, unusual mixes, batik looks and statement motifs.

NATUROLOGY: In this trend, a world of fabrics unfolds that celebrates the organic interplay of materials and textures. The harmony of nature is reflected in light, air-permeable fabrics, double jerseys, regenerative fibres, natural blends, flowing knits, paper touch cotton and mesh. Nature as muse is revealed in artistic botanicals, crumpled flowers, exotic plants and mossy looks.

CLUTTERCORE: Stands for the charm of orderly chaos and the attempt to bring stylish order to the beauty of abundance. Fabric trends such as embroidered voile, delicate lace, crochet and wool-cotton blends create tactile highlights, while silky lustre and suede add luxurious accents. Patterns with rococo references, poetic prints, millefleurs and art deco influences add an artistic, romantic touch. 

TIMELESS MODERNITY: Minimalist, but never plain. Fabrics with a subtle structure and refined finish combine classic with innovation. With vegan nappa, coated cotton, clean, fresh poplin as well as upper denim and cool wool, natural materials meet modern technologies. Geometric prints and patterns such as bold stripes, maritime looks, embroidered initials and traditional multi-stripes set accents and ensure timeless clarity.  

How these trends are translated into fabric and material innovations will be demonstrated by the following premium suppliers in the ROTUNDE and HALL areas of the  Dampfdom. DEBS Corp (JP), Paulo De Oliveira, (PT), Telatex (FR), Somelos (PT) und Tessuti di Sondrio (IT), among others, will be represented at VIEW Selection for the first time. 

On the first evening of the trade show, VIEW X-MAS NIGHT offers another opportunity for industry exchange and inspiring discussions. Buyers, designers and professionals are cordially invited to the VIEW Gallery on Tuesday, 3 December 2024, from 18:30.
