Celebrities' Style: Michael Fassbender

Michael Fassbender is a German-Irish actor, born in Heidelberg, West Germany, in 1977 and raised in Killarney, the Republic of Ireland, where he attended school and college. He plays in both independent films and blockbusters.

He starred in HBO miniseries Band of Brothers, the fantasy drama Hex, the fantasy war epic 300, the historical drama Hunger, the independent film Fish Tank, Quentin Tarantino's war film Inglourious Basterds, the historical drama A Dangerous Method, the fiction film Prometheus, the musical comedy-drama Frank, the prequels X-Men: First Class and X-Men: Days of Future Past - just to name a few.

For his role as IRA activist Bobby Sands (Hunger) Michael won a British Independent Film Award for Best Actor.

In 2011 for his part as a sex addict in Shame he won the Volpi Cup for Best Actor at the Venice Film Festival and was nominated for Golden Globe and BAFTA Awards and in 2013, he received his first Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actor in slavery epic 12 Years a Slave.

For his portrait of Steve Jobs in the biopic of the same name, Fassbender has received Academy Award, BAFTA, Golden Globe and SAG nominations for Best Actor.

The list of actor's ex girlfriend includes Australian singer Maiko Spencer, American model Leasi Andrews, actress Zoë Kravitz, actress Nicole Beharie, British Olympian Louise Hazel, actress and model Mădălina Diana Ghenea. Since late 2014, Fassbender has been dating his The Light Between Oceans co-star, actress Alicia Vikander - and they are even considered 'The hottest couple in Hollywood'.
