Fashion World Tokyo - a wide range of elements, from fashion sourcing to brands exhibits since its first launch
FASHION WORLD TOKYO and FASHION WORLD TOKYO-FACTORY- were held in a lively atmosphere from Oct. 22 – 24, 2018 at Tokyo Big Sight, Japan. The event attracted 976* exhibitors from 39 countries/regions, 19,952* trade visitors and 8,548 conference attendees in 3 days.
The list of new exhibitors includes bag label Anokhi (stocked by stores including BREUNINGER), authentic woollen sweaters by Fisherman out of Ireland, international fashion by Sarah Pacini (which has its own shops and shop-in-shops worldwide), minimalist scarves, hats and T-shirts by Nebo from Munich, handcrafted shirts by Edward Cooper and contemporary looks by Suncoo from Paris (via Feldges & Heidt). They are complementing the existing portfolio of brands which includes Add, Another Souvenir, D.A.T.E. Sneakers, Des Petit Hauts, Fabiani, Hannes Roether, Inuikii, Kaos, Lucky de Luca, Majestic Filatures, Luis Trenker, Parka London, Tom Kerk and Wool & Co.

A voyage often starts from within, seems to suggest KENZO’s Spring Summer 2016 collection: through its print-blocking and multitude of harmonious clashes, it suggests traveling occurs on a daily basis – from voyages to the other end of the world to simply taking the bus to another neighborhood. The designers begin by hijacking a history of ethnic fashion by picking non-Western details – yet refusing to exotify the cultures those are from.
In the beginning of fall, HUMANIC presented a high quality range of shoes. The colour of the season is the wine red, which we could see in the heels, suede boots and handbags.
From a very young age, we have been intrigued by the notion of a voyage, of traveling and the exploration of the deserted. When creating this collection for Summer 2016, we think of the man who makes these roving forays across uncharted lands. We imagine his strong, experienced, utilitarian and purposeful silhouette. We consider his practicality and resourcefulness.
On the screens, with a background of gradiated neon colours we see a curious face tilting her head towards us, as she spoke. “Welcome to Kenzo SS15. KENZO would like to remind you there is no planet B. Please protect what is precious.” Her name is Knola and she is a real person despite the avatar appearance. She’s quintilingual and a global citizen and as her voice vaults from English to Chinese to Japanese to French to Arabic, mirroring the way we live our 21st century lives today, traveling from one place to another in what feels like a much smaller world.
The most discussed event of the last week was, for sure, the 87th Academy awards ceremony (Oscars 2015), held on February 22, 2015 in Hollywood, Los Angeles. For the Fall/Winter 2015 Kenzo menswear collection we look towards individuality, survival, protection and the functional. We welcome the unknown with inimitable curiosity. We celebrate the signs of others and observe symbolism as communication through cult scribbles, care labels and unique prints. we are a community.
Inspired by the designer duo’s first visit to Paris and the way Parisians dress, the collection featured symbolic Parisian images such as the replica of the Statue of Liberty – also a nod to Carol and Humberto’s homeland – and the words ‘KENZO PARIS’ emblazoned across the back of jackets.

World famous fashion house Kenzo presented a new perfume named Kenzo Homme, created by Olivier Polge.
The fragrance has notes of mint, basil, rosemary and cedar.
The design of the flacon is inspired by nature, so the man who wears it can feel like a real Robin Hood. The bottle looks like a blue bamboo shoot cambered by the wind. The box features the bamboo in a graphic, balanced dynamic.
