John Varvatos Spring-Summer 2016 at NYFW: Men's
As BGFN previously reported, in July 2015 was held the Inaugural New York Fashion Week: Men's and US fashion designer John Varvatos was chosen to close the event.
After 13 years in which he showed his new lines in Milan, Italy, Varvatos supported the new fashion platform, presenting there his Spring-Summer 2016 collection.
'From the time I started my brand in 2000, the timing between New York Fashion Week and the menswear calendar was never truly aligned. After eight years of showing in New York, I moved my show to Milan and gained a global audience... Last month, we opened a store in my hometown of Detroit, and we received such an overwhelmingly positive response that it made me want to bring the fashion show back to New York. I am very excited about coming home to help launch the first-ever New York City menswear week!', said John Varvatos in a release.
The collection is inspired by California's 70s rock'n'roll style and includes: skinny striped suits, short jackets, tight pants, dandy stripes and luxurious fabrics.
The color palette for the next hot season is elegant - olive, gray, navy, Summer whites, aubergine, khaki and rich red.
