Menswear: Louis Vuitton Spring-Summer 2015 collection
A mixture of the regal elegance of Rajasthan, Northern India
and that of the Air Force
In June 2014, Kim Jones, Louis Vuitton's Creative director, presented his collection for the upcoming hot season in France, during the Paris Fashion Week.
It's a well known fact that Jones is a traveler, who loves adventures. And for this season, Indian palace guards were the starting point for the Spring-Summer 2015 Louis Vuitton collection's variations on military garb - army shirts and shorts in a lustrous suede, jumpsuits in khaki and pink ('the navy blue of India'), flight suits and military bombers - in the traditional bright Indian colors of orange and fuchsia.
The collection includes also: 70s inspired high-waisted trousers and longer double-breasted jackets, chevron patterned shirts, water-resistant leather bags, orange satin, pink silk, beige nubuck, khaki cotton ribbed V-neck sweaters with silk shoulder patches.
