TAG Heuer kicked off the 50th anniversary celebrations for the Monaco timepiece
All eyes were on the Rock of Monaco for the legendary Formula 1 Grand Prix this weekend, and on the iconic TAG Heuer timepiece celebrating its 50th anniversary in the Principality. In honour of this milestone, it was announced that throughout the year, five creations will be successively revealed, inspired by the different decades from 1969 to 2019, and paying tribute to timeless design, enduring innovation and a style icon now more contemporary than ever.

And it will be even more so for Milan, set to host the Universal Exhibition starting May 1st, where it will become the world's window to the beauty and way of life of the Bel Paese. An occasion not to be missed, Audemars Piguet has seized this opportunity to pay tribute to both Italy and the city of Milan, creating a special limited edition of the Royal Oak Chronograph.

At a time when chronographs had just a single pushpiece in the crown, in 1915 Breitling invented the first independent pushpiece at 2 o'clock, which ensured a better separation of functions and adapted more naturally to the user's hand. To celebrate the 100th anniversary of this milestone invention that would change the face of the modern chronograph, Breitling introduces the Transocean Chronograph in a 1,915-piece limited series, equipped with a new manufacture monopusher movement featuring a double column-wheel system (patent pending), a transparent sapphire crystal back and a vintage-inspired dial.
