Christian Louboutin for E. Tautz Autumn/Winter 2017
For his Autumn/Winter 2017 collection show on the catwalk of London Fashion Week Men’s, E. Tautz designer Patrick Grant was inspired by men from the countryside. However, this “man” is of the intimate kind; in order to put a modern spin on his collection’s traditional silhouettes, Grant looked at the garb of scarecrows in the countryside of Leeds as depicted by photographer Peter Mitchell in his series “Some Thing Means Everything to Somebody.” The result was elegant wool coats, tailored anoraks, high-waisted belted trousers and open collars that were loosely layered to create the laid back, but fully modern look.

Patrick Grant, Creative Director of Savile Row tailors, Norton & Sons, and winner of the British Fashion Award for Best Menswear Designer has created a one-of-a-kind suit that is engineered perfectly for the modern man. The suit, taking inspiration from the technology-infused traditional timepieces in Casio Edifice’s Bluetooth SMART range, features several modern twists on classic Savile Row tailoring.

Patrick Grant is a British fashion designer and creative director of bespoke tailors Norton & Sons of Savile Row. As a media figure he is best known as a judge on the television series, The Great British Sewing Bee.
After taking over Norton in 2005, Grant has been credited with rejuvenating the once ailing business. He relaunched E. Tautz & Sons as a ready to wear label in 2009, for which he was awarded the Menswear Designer award at the British Fashion Awards in 2010.

A chance encounter between British Fashion Award-winning designer Patrick Grant and Christian Louboutin led to collaboration, and this Monday, for the fifth consecutive season, Patrick Grant’s E. Tautz’s walked the LCM catwalks in custom Red Soled creations.

Going ultra casual for spring-summer 2016, designer Patrick Grant presented his latest collection for E. Tautz during London Collections: Men. A morning slot on the last day of LCM frames the show as a palette cleanser, especially with its soft tailoring and clean lines, but the heritage label dating back to 1867 has a lot more to show for it.

With the return of the men’s fashion season, the brand opened the Autumn/Winter 2015 season with our very first appearance at London Collections: Men alongside a couple of favorites: designers Todd Lynn and E. Tautz’s Patrick Grant.
