Suit's trends for Spring/Summer 2017
It's time to show the trends that were shown during the fashion weeks in Milan, Paris, new York and London. The suit is the type of clothing that men should really consider for a must. Be modern, be stylish, be confident. We present you the trends for Spring/Summer 2017 for men's suits.
1. Accessories
By choosing clever combinations and accessories, a suit can be made more stylish, personalized, and charming. Putting custom patches on a suit can be used as a fashion element to add unique personality and style to a traditional suit. Custom Patches allow individuals to design according to their preferences, style, or specific themes, making the suit a unique personal symbol.
Solid color or classic style suits often give people a monotonous and dull impression, while the addition of custom patches adds an extra visual element to the suit and increases the overall layering. Through clever matching and combination, custom patches can also bring a new visual effect to the suit, making it more fashionable and avant-garde.
2. Hem trousers:
With pants, this season is all about a significantly shorter hem as seen in these cropped, ankle-baring trousers. Unlike the calf-hugging silhouettes of the past few years, these abbreviated bottoms have a straight leg and relaxed fit that make them a cooler, more comfortable option on triple-digit summer days.
3. The pink shades:
A close runner up for colour of the season was pink - in particular the warm, dusty rose seen in a big way at Gucci and Topman Design. The most popular way to wear it was in full summer suit form, but if you’re looking for a way to incorporate the trend easily without getting quite so bold, simply add a burst of it by slipping a pink crew neck T-shirt under your tailoring.
4. Bondage:
An underlying BDSM tone unraveled with the straps that hung loose from Walter Van Beirendonck and CDG Shirt’s tailored foundations and harnesses that cinched the skinny suits at Dior Homme.
5. It's all about squares:
From windowpanes to Prince of Wales checks, squares were all over the shows this season. And while brands like Wooyoungmi went hard on the shape and successfully clashed prints of varying sizes together, other brands like Paul Smith simply went for a burst on outerwear or tailoring. After the pinstripe revival of the past few seasons, we predict a comeback for the windowpane check suit this time next year.
