DAKS Fall/Winter 2016 - the elegant sentiment of English eveningwear
DAKS menswear collection took Milan Fashion Week once again as its main stage, for the Fall Winter 2016 season Creative Director Filippo Scuffi honored the label’s London heritage.
The brand certainly represents the quintessence of British tailoring tradition, but adds this season a more eclectic twist. Unveiled in a dark atmosphere, the label’s winter 2016 lineup offers a new and intriguing vision of menswear, which is inspired by stylish painters, whose brushes of colors are used as a decoration of sophisticated coats, luxurious knits and eveningwear numbers. There’s a certain dandyish allure into the whole collection, which is translated this season in opulent and desirable pieces, which define a sense of style with a strong personality.
DAKS celebrated the British heritage with masterfully tailored black velvet, satin as well as carefully shaped knitwear.
There are touches of an abstract template that makes direct reference to the world of art. As well as on knitwear this also features on overcoats, thees too are hand decorated, elegant silk dinner jackets and suede bags finished with detailing in piange leather.
