English Fashion: Oliver Spencer

Showing two collections a year at London Collections: Men, Oliver Spencer has built an international reputation for what GQ calls a 'uniquely British take on relaxed style'.

Winner of the WGSN's global Menswear Designer award in 2013 and twice nominated for Menswear Designer at the British Fashion Awards, Oliver Spencer is proud of a diverse range of customers and brand ambassadors. In the acting world, these include Jude Law, Idris Elba, Allen Leech and Michael Fassbender — and in music, Alex James, Gary Kemp and The Rolling Stones.

For Autumn/Winter 2015 Oliver Spencer takes influence from the work of artist and sculptor David Nash; the natural environment of his work is reflected through a variety of fabrications, textures and tones.

Fabrics that are soft to touch appear throughout; alpaca, recycled cashmere and super fine lambswool. Clean lines and details deliver a feeling of contemporary Luxury.

Texture takes a central role this season; a complete sensorial collection, sleek fabrics are delivered in hard silhouettes; the rough with the smooth.

Key pieces include: A five-yarn lambswool over-sized roll neck, double-breasted coat in alpacca, midnight Sheepskin on the reverse and a suede bomber jacket, made in England scotch grain leather shoes and accessories.
