Farrell Autumn/Winter 2015 collection by Primark
Robbie Williams created the Farrell line as a tribute to his Grandfather, Jack Farrell - a notable dresser on the Stoke-on–Trent scene. The latest collection of Farrell takes inspiration from the past while remaining firmly rooted in the present, offering clean modern cuts in classic shapes.
Fashionability is ensured with the trend led logoed Farrell garments. Logos are emblazoned across T-shirts, knitted sweaters, jersey sweatshirts, hoodies and polo tops - creating statement pieces without having to try too hard to make a statement.
"Farrell really comes into its own this season. Clean lines and simple cuts are the key to its desirability, with great tailoring; the perfect fit jean and great outerwear. Highlights include the sharply cut 3-piece tweed/wool suit, which is classic yet cool, and such incredible value for money. The outerwear is also the standout of the collection; comprising of a bonded mac, military-inspired parka and the wool peacoat - with these pieces it’s all about the details ensuring you make a statement without having to make a statement. I particularly like the logo sweatshirt too!" said Luke Day, Editor of GQ Style.
Overall the colour palette remains muted with hues of navy, grey, khaki and black. Splashes of colour are injected via a variety of pattern and print which is kept subtle with simple stripes and colourful checks for T-shirts and shirts.
The accessories range widens and sees textured woollen socks, waxed bags and luxurious leather shoes. Footwear options include sleek derby shoes and butter soft desert boots. Wingtip brogues come in a variety of styles, from the timeless tan, chocolate brogue boots and oxblood leather.
Fabric and technique is at the core of the collection. This is particularly evident in the selection of bomber jackets that are crafted from premium fabrications such as suede and leather. The flecked herringbone tweed 3-piece suit also delivers that touch of elegance, perfect for males who take dressing sharp seriously. Traditional in cut and fit, but updated with specks of colour woven into the tweed, the line boasts both modernity and flair. Said commitment can also be witnessed in the tuck stitch sweater and bonded trench coat. All can easily be worn and incorporated into the everyday wardrobe.
