Spring/Summer 2018 trends:When tailoring meets sportswear

There is a trend we spotted during the Fashion Weeks in Milan, London, New York, the suit had a resurgence in Paris courtesy of the trend of mixing tailoring with sportswear. Suits, blazers, and tailored trousers were combined with bombers, track bottoms, hoodies, aloha shirts, and more.

Is it a case of contemporary sportswear smartening up, or is today’s tailoring unbuckling and relaxing? The boundaries and silhouettes within menswear are continuing to blur, with designers increasingly borrowing from the technology, fabrication and construction of advanced activewear to refresh, energise and modernise smart casualwear.
