Tracey Emin CBE RA Designs LFWM Fifth Anniversary Logo
The five year anniversary of London Fashion Week Men’s will be celebrated 9th - 12th June. To mark this milestone iconic British artist Tracey Emin CBE RA, member of the BFC’s Menswear Committee, has lent her signature handwriting to the LFWM logo. The logo will be featured in a custom neon installation in the event’s central hub at The Store Studios, 180 Strand.
British Fashion Council announces NEWGEN recipients for 2017 / 2018
The British Fashion Council (BFC) today celebrates the fifteen emerging designers who will receive NEWGEN support for the year ahead. Following the announcement of a new format, NEWGEN sponsorship is now awarded annually to both menswear and womenswear designers who will show at either London Fashion Week Men’s or London Fashion Week.
Christian Louboutin for E. Tautz Autumn/Winter 2017
For his Autumn/Winter 2017 collection show on the catwalk of London Fashion Week Men’s, E. Tautz designer Patrick Grant was inspired by men from the countryside. However, this “man” is of the intimate kind; in order to put a modern spin on his collection’s traditional silhouettes, Grant looked at the garb of scarecrows in the countryside of Leeds as depicted by photographer Peter Mitchell in his series “Some Thing Means Everything to Somebody.” The result was elegant wool coats, tailored anoraks, high-waisted belted trousers and open collars that were loosely layered to create the laid back, but fully modern look.
