Berluti Spring/Summer 2020 collection
A sense of augmented reality sets the tone for the Berluti collection for Spring-Summer 2020. In his continual observance of the artisanal heritage of the maison, artistic director Kris Van Assche shines an imaginative light on the features of its legacy.
The Belgian designer juxtaposes classic tailoring and streetwear-inspired pieces for the occasion. Rich pops of color add vibrancy to suits that come in a variety of fits, whether it’s a slender two-piece or a sleeveless jacket and pleated trousers. Graphic prints and gradient leathers contribute character to the lineup as well.
The silhouette expands seductively in trousers and shoulders, triggering a sense of freedom characterised by an unrestrained attitude to dress codes. Jackets appear in sleeveless form, Bermuda shorts are introduced, and the motocross trousers of the new Berluti wardrobe convert into a harmonising jacket and multicolour leather boot.
Berluti announces Blondey McCoy as the face of its Summer 2020 Collection. The 22-year-old British-Lebanese skateboarder and designer was shot by his long-time friend and collaborator Alasdair McLellan on location in Rome, marking the photographer’s third campaign for Berluti under the artistic direction of Kris Van Assche. The campaign was art directed by M/M (Paris).
