London College of Fashion presents Fashion's Future - BA16 Catwalk show and Exhibition
London College of Fashion, University of the Arts London presents BA16 - a showcase of work celebrating the latest talent from its leading graduating students. Opening with the annual BA catwalk show on Monday 6 June, the season will continue with an exhibition from Tuesday 7 June.
All BA graduating courses will be presented in one space to create a unique and edited display which will mirror every aspect of the fashion industry.
Styled and directed by LCF's Creative Director, Rob Phillips, the catwalk will feature 15 diverse and innovative collections from students across womenswear, menswear, sportswear, contour, accessories and jewellery.
The show reflects the cross-disciplinary and collaborative nature of the fashion industry, highlighting the breadth of exceptional talent fostered each year at London College of Fashion, UAL.
Professor Frances Corner OBE, Head of London College of Fashion, Pro-Vice Chancellor of UAL said: 'By bringing together our varied disciplines under one roof, the BA16 season will provide fashion enthusiasts with the perfect opportunity to discover the next generation of fashion industry leaders. It also gives us the opportunity to demonstrate how we are driving change across an ever evolving global industry as well as celebrating what has been another extraordinary year for the college'.
The annual 'Collection of the Year' Award will be announced after the show.
The BA16 Exhibition will be open to the public from Tuesday 7 June - Thursday 9 June, featuring: photography, illustration, footwear, accessories, jewellery and fashion design. It will inspire creativity and offer the public the opportunity to fully immerse and engage with work by fashion innovators of the future. The exhibition will be accompanied by a free events programme of talks, workshops and live drawing classes.
The catwalk will be live streamed on the LCF website and Not Just A Label.
