"Modern American menswear hasn’t been this exciting since the 1960s, when Savile Row, Carnaby Street, the British Invasion, and the peacock revolution took the United States by storm. This is why I decided to bring the Joseph Abboud collection back to the runway for the first time in 15 years."

The Fall/Winter 2016 collection celebrates menswear’s rich sartorial heritage by intricately mingling the traditions of fine tailoring with irreverence, intelligence and innovation. This new collection fuses the rugged and the refined with luxurious fabrics, finely crafted bespoke details, bold patterns, and a rich pallet of gray, chocolate, rust, olive, stormy blue, and ebony to create a symphony of textures and dimensions that is quintessentially Joseph Abboud.

Placing a focus on military details, like subtly upturned cuffs, pieced lapels, and vintage buttons, this dynamic collection boasts a myriad of carefully selected textiles. Washed velvets and cashmeres from Biella, distressed wool prints dyed in true ancient madder shades from Como and authentic Harris Tweeds from Scotland, come to life in suits and separates that feature our new signature Traced Fit. This masterful approach to tailoring caresses the male physique while still allowing for freedom and fluidity with broader shoulders, a fitted waist, and a flared coat, all of which are reminiscent of ‘60s silhouettes, but exude a fresh new attitude for 2016.

The Joseph Abboud man is confident and uniquely individual. He embraces a sense of rugged dandyism, striking a perfect balance between romance and masculinity, past, present and future. What’s more is that each lush garment on today’s runway was made right here in the U.S.A., as were our accessories, which were created in collaboration with six outstanding U.S.-based artisans. Strong, sensual, and sometimes surprising, this is American menswear.
