'A Suit To Travel In' by Paul Smith at London Collections: Men
Nottingham-born designer Paul Smith is in the fashion business for over 40 years and is one of the few British-based fashion designers, who combines commercial success with critical credibility.
During the London Collections: Men, Smith presented a new suit with an incredible flexibility - 'A suit to travel in'. It was shown by a troop of acrobats and gymnasts from the National Centre for Circus Acts, led by English Olympic medalist Max Whitlock.
The suit, 100% wool, is naturally elastic and breathable and gives the wearer complete freedom to move due to its half-floating canvas construction, coupled with an expert cut. And that's not all - high twist yarn makes the garment crease-resistant and water repellent!
Struan Leslie, the former head of movement for the Royal Shakespeare Company, directed the presentation.
