Rupert Stadler is an expert in connectivity technologies and future innovation in the automotive industry and its direct impact on the consumer technology market.
He was born in 1963 in Titting, Germany, and studied Business Management, majoring in Corporate Planning/Controllership and Finance, Banking and Investment, at Augsburg University of Applied Sciences.
Stadler began his career at Philips Kommunikation Industrie AG. Later he became head of the board for the Volkswagen Group. He is currently the chairman of the board, CEO and CFO of Audi AG, the chairman of Automobili Lamborghini Holding SpA and Volkswagen Group Italia SpA, a vice-chairman and member of the supervisory board at German football club FC Bayern AG.

'Under Rupert Stadler's leadership, Audi has become a market leader in providing seamless technology to enhance safety behind the wheel and access to real-time information in the car', said Gary Shapiro, the President and CEO of the Consumer Technology Association.
In November 2012 Rupert Stadler was appointed an honorary professor for Business Administration by the University of St. Gallen.
