Federico Curradi is Pitti Uomo 89's Pitti Italics
Pitti Italics is one of the Pitti Immagine Uomo projects - the program through which the Fondazione Pitti Discovery promotes and supports internationally promising new generation Italian fashion designers.
At this edition the spotlights was turned on FEDERICO CURRADI of Florence who has a decade of experience with the most prestigious names in fashion, from Ermanno Scervino to Iceberg, in his résumé. At Pitti Uomo 89 he launched the first collection of his own label with a special performance. This happened on Tuesday 12 January at the Dogana of Via Valfonda.
'I am honored to be able to launch my own label at Pitti Uomo. Pitti Immagine has given me the opportunity to freely express myself without having to worry about market rules. I want to reveal my identity: the message I want to send springs from my way of being. Pollution and nature, craft and industry, corruption and morality: my first collection is derived from these themes. And I am proud to be able to do this at an international event taking place in my city, Florence where I grew up, professionally and in other ways', said Federico Curradi.
