Lanificio Subalpino - originality, modernity and simplicity

From 40s to 80s Mr Luciano maintained his trade specialized in fabrics mainly from the Biella area with MANIFATTURA L. ZANONE but, in 1975, he also founded his own small production of fabrics calling the new company LANIFICIO SUBALPINO.

Spring/Summer collection

Production of fabrics for menswear, womenswear and childrenswear in natural fibers and blends. They purchase yarns and raw materials in Italy, Europe and in the rest of the world. They are processed in our warping and weaving departments, while mending and finishing are carried out in other mills located in our area. Every single step of the process is made in Biella – Italy.

Subalpino combines colours and creativity through a thousand aspects. And it couldn’t be any different: Subalpino’s success and survival, at a time of great changes in markets and increasing competition, come from a type of offer that cannot exclude the constant research of colour combinations in different designs and materials.

Fall/Winter collection

The “Associazione Tessile e Salute” declared that tissues and fabrics made by Lanificio Subalpino fulfils all requirements set by the “Tessile e Salute” project and participates in the textile and health project funded by MINISTRY of HEALTH aimed at protecting the health of people, guaranteeing to the end consumers the safety and the transparency of the textile-clothing products.

Fall/Winter collection

Subalpino develops designs with experience, passion and sometimes obstinacy, we search for new handles, new yarn and material blends. They look for the right shade of colour and eventually it is rewarding.

Behind that, there are investments of time, of experimentation, of colour cards that are the result of demanding yarn supplies.
