In the spirit of the Kyoto Protocol of 1997, Cerruti has created a harmonious rapport with the environment by installing a reduce energy system and a recycling steam system.

The company has taken all necessary precautions to reduce environmental impact with solutions aimed at every sector. A biological treatment plant has been implemented for the treatment of waste waters.

This allows the company to put the water directly back into the adjacent river. Furthermore, a project for the re-use of purified waste water has been implemented. The mill has also installed a system for the disposal of fine dust particles that allows the expulsion of completely purified air into the atmosphere, according with the parameters imposed by the inspecting bodies (Legislative Decree no. 152, 03/04/06).
