Despite of the world price pressures, the Italian fashion industry has managed to maintain traditions and over 350,000 jobs.

Can the situation be improved?
What are the constraints, threats and conflicts
in the fashion industry?

Over the last few years, the Italian supply chain faces many challenges:
* Reducing jobs - In 1980, there were 4 million fashion jobs, nowadays there are 350,000.
* Cashflow problem - about 10% of the companies have a continuous Cashflow problem - on the basis of 80 billion, 8 billion turnover is in criticality.
* Master – tailors with close to the minimal salary - master – tailors with years of experience receive a salary close to the minimum of the industry due to the pressure from world competition in some factories.
* Factories are closing doors - some factories and brands with long history are closed and subject to administration.

FAST FASHION - very strong competition from trademarks producing in countries with low standard, not respecting the principles of ETHICAL FASHION.
Outsourcing outside Italy - Due to the global price war, many jobs have been closed and exported outside Italy.
The pricing policy of traders - Italian quality goods allow a large mark-up, which further limits the volume.
Destruction of the image of Italian production - some factories produce in Italy and do not respect the principles of ETHICAL FASHION - use low-skilled immigrants and poor quality materials from the Far East. In this way they create a bad image of the Italian production.
Copying of Designs - World trademarks copy Italian product designs.
Copying the label 'Made in Italy'.

Limiting sales capacity, which is a serious problem for business sustainability, keeping the existing and creating new jobs in the Italian supply chain.

Strategy for sustainability and development of the Italian supply chain

* Analysis of the current supply chain reality.
* Identifying the major conflicts/obstacles and their financial parameters.
* Analysis of the following parameters: customer’s value, scalability, win-win, needed investments, plan to enter new markets.
* The solution is to create a competitive edge that will lead to an increase in profitability for companies across the supply chain.

* Prepare an attractive WIN-WIN solution.
* Offer a competitive edge of the supply chain.
* Create market validation.
* Evidence of the concept by selecting suitable traders, following the criteria of ETHICAL FASHION.
* Show the financial benefits for everyone in the supply chain.

To overcome the current situation and aiming meaningful work in the supply chain, to be more brave and to work together to achieve a common standard.
A standard that appreciates ??all people who contribute to the global fashion industry.

SUPPORT OF 100,000 NEW BUSINESS OPPORRUNITIES AROUND THE WOLRD for experienced and newly-formed trade brands, designers, distributors, retailars and fashion bloggers producing their collections in the Italian supply chain.
How many are 100,000?
An average of 50 sale points in 1 area
An average of 20 regions in 1 country = 1000 sales points in 1 country
When promoting the project in 100 countries we will support the existing and create new 100,000 business opportunities.

World brands pay to influential people, bloggers and influencers (over 2 million people worldwide) who have hundreds of followers,  to wear, write and encourage their followers to buy fashionable clothing.
Let's support ethical bloggers who only support companies, following the principles of ETHICAL FASHION.

* Due to price competition from the entry of fast fashion more than 50% of brands and retailers around the world have Cashflow problems or they are already closed.

* Many students from all over the world, facing with the illogicality and hardness of the fashion industry, give up their dreams to work in the fashion industry. For example only in the UK, every year 4,000 students graduate in the fashion industry, while at the same time 3 500 leave the fashion industry because they can’t get a realization.

* TRANSPARENT AND FAIR MANUFACTURING - compliance with production standards and guaranteeing the well-being of people and communities behind the fashion:
- Traceability throughout the entire chain of production and deliveries of the garments and the origin of all the materials included in the collections.
- Conservation of resources and the environment.
* FAIR TRADE in the entire supply chain:
- Respect the Principle WIN – WIN for the entire supply chain in the fashion industry.
- Find a balance that will lead to increased sales and profits.
* HIGH VALUE PRODUCTS - use of traditional Italian technology to increase the value of the product.
* ECOLOGICAL FASHION - use of natural materials only.
* TRAINING THE CONSUMER for the long chain of events starting from textile production and ending with the purchase in the store.

Transparency is at the root of everything we can appreciate as ethical. Transparency will revive traditional crafts and create fair working places.

* THE MODEL “12 COLLECTIONS” - “ See – Buy “ approach
Many world designers reject the traditional presentation of their pre-season collections for the upcoming seasons and are adopting the "See - Buy" approach - an opportunity for customers to buy garments right after the reviews.
* THE MODEL “12 COLLECTIONS” - The precentation of 12 collections during the year gives opportunities for trend definition and to maintain a leading role in world fashion.
* THE MODEL “12 COLLECTIONS” is a solution to the many negative effects of  the"FAST FASHION".
"FAST FASHION" is a world-wide scourge in the fashion industry that doesn’t follow the principles of "ETHICAL FASHION"
(copying trends, use of poor quality materials, non-compliance with production standards, unfair payment, etc.).
* PRODUCTION WITHOUT LEFTOVERS – The presentation of 12 collections will limit to a minimum the leftover in production - one of the main principles of ETHICAL FASHION.
* FLEXIBILITY - a competitive edge of Italian companies - the ability to create many models without minimum quantities.
* A BUSINESS MODEL, DIFFICULT TO BE COPIED - The presentation of 12 collections will create the impossibility of copying the designs and the business model of production.
Many global competitors produce the same size models (10,000 - 100,000 copies per model) with a slow delivery time of 6 to 10 months, they produce in factories, which don’t follow the principles of ETHICAL FASHION.
* INCREASEMENT OF PROFIT - the presentation of 12 collections per year will allow the Italian supply chain to reduce inventories and the number of unsold items.
* REMOVED LOSSES - a large amount of inventory destroys the value, increases the cost of sales, blocks many finances and causes resource losses and insecurity in the supply chain.
* PROOF OF ORIGINALITY - 12 collections can be a proof to customers that the collections are entirely produced in Italy. The competition will not be able to produce fashion items in small series, following the rules of ETHICAL FASHION.

* TOC Fashion Academy Tuscany - a consulting organization with business partnerships with international experts on strategies and business transformations from over 60 countries.
* Our Mission:
Increasing the value of the products.
Building a sustainable supply chain.
Applying the Win-Win principle across the supply chain.
Respect the rules of ETHICAL FASHION.
* TOC /Theory of Constraints/ is a modern theory of removing the constraints based on permanent removal of bottlenecks in all key processes across the entire supply chain.
* TOC is oriented to generate value for all in the supply chain.
* TOC is studied in 23 countries.
* TOC is used by managers in global companies in all areas of business (Mazda, Boing, Bosch, Hitachi, Procter & Gamble), public and governmental organizations.
