Mr Smith - the bespoke tailor of Merchant Fox
Mr Smith, the Fox Brothers in-house tailor whose particular style is soft tailoring and whose work is instantly recognisable by its high standard. Brian has recently been rated as one of the top tailors in the world. Choose from world renowned Fox Brothers Luxury Flannel as well as viewing limited edition cloth including Michael Alden's London Lounge collection 'proper cloth' and from September 2013 Fox's British Khakee 100% cotton collection.
An appointment can be arranged in the West End of London or in Somerset at Fox Brother's mill. The latter can have cloth selected literally straight from the looms. Brian is available in London on a Thursday and in Somerset on Fridays and Saturdays.
Initial consultation involves selecting a cloth, discussing style of suit with the first measurements being taken. For the first suit or jacket there will be two further fittings. This bespoke experience will take 10 - 12 weeks.
The Merchant Fox provides a service to design your own heritage piece to be handed down to the next generation. This bespoke service provides the opportunity to select cloth from Fox Brothers mill including limited edition, exclusive fabrics, to be made into your own bespoke item such as a dressing gown or cap. Ties can also be made to an individual’s length and blade preference.
Leather bags designed to the customers preference whether it's an extra pocket on an existing Merchant Fox design; to a design made to the customer’s specific requirements or selecting their own leather. Each individual requirement can be worked out and made into a luxury bespoke item.
Their range of handmade leather goods can be embossed with personalised insignias or initials and Fox Flannel items can be have hand embroidered initials sewn in London. Globe-Trotter cases can also be made to customers specifications and using different Fox lining. Globe-Trotter offers an engraving service to finalise the bespoke journey.
