ISAIA Spring/Summer 2017 collection

Travelers to Capri lose their individualism and national identity and become Capri types. They are dressed in sunny yellow and wear short shorts or trousers rolled up to the calves, incredible shirts and scarves in wild colours.

Thus, the color palette of the ISAIA Spring/Summer 2017 collection is inspired by the Capri type, who wandered about a bit bored and very theatrical wearing luminous colors of the sky and sea.

People wear colourful clothes cut in a way that they can only be worn there on the island: fabrics feature the stripes and floral prints that were in vogue between the fifties and early sixties and also include the wide stripes of the typical awnings-tops of Capri taxis. Even blue must be different and faded.

Patterns and motifs appear as prints or embroidery on jersey shirts as well as embellishments on the collar facings of pinstriped jackets. The carefully chosen colorful pullover nonchalantly drapes loosely over the shoulders, as if to say on a warm evening: everything changes quickly here, even the weather.
