In the early 19th century, John Rich II, son of an English wool carder, set off from Liverpool across the Atlantic in search of a new life. He went on to found the Woolrich Woolen Mills in Pennsylvania in 1830 and travelled from logging camp to logging camp selling his first wool products: wool fabric, wool socks and basic wool garments.
The Dutch Showroom of the MFC (the first from the European chain that the Cluster is planning to create) was opened on November 16, 2015 in the World Fashion Center Amsterdam. An unique review-spectacle combining Bulgarian folklore and contemporary fashion with traditional Bulgarian embroidery (shevitza) was presented to the audience.
In the end of October, the National Folklore Ensemble 'BULGARE' is going to the Netherlands for a one-month tour. BULGARE is going to present Bulgarian dances and folklore in some of the most prestigious theaters in more than 20 cities in the country.
