Tollegno 1900 presented Sixtywool at Performance Days – Functional Fabric Fair

For the second consecutive year, the Biellese company participates in “Performance Days – Functional Fabric Fair” with its Fall/Winter 2018/19 collection and the upcoming Spring/Summer 19 preview. Among their super tech yarn, Wooltech Total Easy Care, which has been chosen for the Venetian gondolier uniform, and Harmony Idro which boasts water and oil repellent properties.

The yarn “Sixtywool”, made from extrafine merino wool and polyacrylic, is offered in both classic and topwash. “Cooper” and “Abarth” (60% pure merino wool 40% nylon TEC) were developed by the Research Lab at Tollegno 1900 and will be on display Performance Days – Functional Fabric Fair (8/9 November, MTC World of Fashion Monaco, Stand 541).

Among the technical yarns presented as part of the “Performance: #24hourworkandleisure” line, merino wool (ultrafine and extrafine) as well as cashmere, tencel, silk and siliconized nylon characterize the offer from the Biellese company. A standout is “Wooltech Total Easy Care”, made of 100% pure virgin merino wool, which thanks to its super tech construction and flexibility of use has recently been chosen for the official sweater uniform of Venetian gondoliers. This acknowledgment and endorsement of the yarn’s high value and active properties are a testament to their “Professional Performance.”

A highlight of the innovation taking place at Tollegno 1900 is “Harmony Idro” in 100% extra fine merino wool which, thanks to a specific Teflon fabric protector film that can create an invisible barrier on each fiber, completely protects from water and stains. All one needs to do is dab up any liquid, and it’s gone without a trace left behind! This classic, emblematic Tollegno 1900 yarn quality “Harmony” will be shown in Monaco to demonstrate the functionality of the “Idro” treatment; the application does not alter color, aesthetics or yarn feel, and can be used on any type of yarn to maximize its functionality.

“The German show,” explains Tollegno 1900, “is an important showcase for their most technical line that since its official launch in 2016 has been able to capture buyers’ attention as it combines naturalness and technological innovation without falling off to compromise on comfort. Moreover, the line demonstrates its crossover potential and versatility in its possible uses for sportswear, athleisure or casual wear.”

In addition to exhibiting the collections’ new additions, participation at the Monaco Fair is part of a strategic development plan for the Biella company. “Performance days,” conclude Tollegno 1900, “is a solid entry into the Northern European market which is integral to their internationalization, which is still one of their main priorities along with innovation, development and sustainability. For the second year, they attend this show as it has afforded them the opportunity to reach new clients with their offer of materials with strong performance technology and unmatched quality.” Their high quality is best expressed by the intrinsic characteristics of naturalness, high thermal insulation power, maximum elasticity, absorption power, antibacterial and hypoallergenic function, lightness and softness that define the “Performance” yarn collection.
