Antonio Marras Spring/Summer 2017 - the floral suit

Antonio Marras joins the growing number of designers taking up the theme of travel for spring-summer 2017. After an intimate presentation of his latest collection during Milan Fashion Week, the designer unveiled his lookbook for the season. Model Reid Rohling is the collection’s protagonist, lending it a boyish quality.

Creating a global tapestry, the collection boasts intricate prints and embellishments that decorate overshirts, casual tees, straight-cut suits and sweater sets.

The Marras-style is presented by slightly madcap medley of floral prints and patterns in bright colors, embroideries, and chinoiserie motifs camouflaged with macram? appliqu?s, sailor stripes, and patchworks. Balancing the decorative overload, shapes were kept simple and functional; oversize sweaters; military parkas, jackets and pants; classic T-shirts, and bombers.
