The CTDA Education Program

Earn a MASTER CUSTOM DESIGNER or MASTER CUSTOM CLOTHIER certification

The retailer of custom tailored clothing requires special skill and education. That's why the Custom Tailors and Designers Association (CTDA) offers a program, which provides extensive training in all aspects of the custom clothing industry - from Measuring to Business Development - where all courses are taught by industry experts with extensive knowledge and experience.

The Education Program is offered each January and July in Manhattan, New York, USA, and can be completed in a minimum of 1.5 years. The 7 Courses (Measuring, Fitting & Alterations, Business, Blue pencil, Fabric Knowledge, Custom shirts, Style) total approximately 25 hours of class time, and are structured to cover each topic from 2 to 5 hours in length.

To earn a MASTER CUSTOM DESIGNER or MASTER CUSTOM CLOTHIER certification you should complete and pass all 7 courses of the Program and to ensure documented proof of more than 4 years of experience in the custom clothing industry.

Class fees are $99 for Members of the Association and $199 for Non-Members.
